Everyone wants to have the perfect white smile from the toothpaste-ads. But too often our teeth are not quite white.
Reasons for yellowish teeth may vary. Among the most common are certain foods and beverages such as coffee, tea and some fruits. We can reduce these foods or drinks, but who would have given up their morning cup of coffee? Or a little fresh fruit juice?
Sometimes these things aren't the main culprits for yellow teeth. Unfortunately, some people just have naturally yellow teeth. As to convince us otherwise, seriously yellowed teeth cannot get whiter with just a toothpaste. But for a start, a good product will work.
Abrasive toothpaste can also cause problems, because over time it assist the abrasive erosion of tooth enamel, which in turn increases the "yellow teeth" effect. This is because on the outside the tooth appears white, but beneath the surface of the white enamel is a yellow core. And over time the white part erodes - and because of increasing age, or if you use hard toothbrushes and abrasive toothpastes. And yellow is shown below. The use of abrasive pastes, not only doesn't solve the problem, but also damages the teeth. Severe damage to the enamel can be dangerous.
To achieve stunning results and make our teeth whiter, we may ask our dentist to bleach our teeth. Teeth whitening is the most effective in especially yellow teeth or teeth, disfigured by patches of food.
If yellowish teeth is the result of accumulation of organic mass in them, mostly from food and drink, then there is no need to blanch them. Just wash them regularly, buy a quality brush and toothpaste, but it is not a bad idea also to get a bottle of mouthwash water - it keeps the fresh breath for a long time after washing. If you can, avoid foods and drinks that darken the teeth, such as chocolate, dark-colored fruits, red wine and coffee.
Of course, the best would be, if you brush your teeth immediately after you eat or drink any of these things. This is not always possible - though no one goes to work or to a meeting with a brush and a toothpaste in the pocket. So, in this situation, simply rinse your mouth well with water and then chew some sugar-free gum.

Women and risks of heart disease

A study by leading french exprerts has found that women are more likely to die during the month following a heart attack than men. According to the study, women are far less likely than men to get angiography performed than men. Angiography is a procedure that uses dye to look at the blood vessels and find any clots that may exist. When blockages are found, angioplasty is performed to open the blockage. Researchers say that women should be given the same invasive procedures as men to significantly lower their risk of death from heart disease.
It is known for a long time that heart attack symptoms in women are different than those experienced by men. There are a number of stories from women, who say they've been treated differently than men when they check into the ER. Doctors have often told women their chest pain and symptoms are anxiety-related, rather than testing for the real cause - heart disease.
Heart disease is the number one killer of American women. This could change when health care professionals begin to treat women equally to men. As with most things, most of the studies done on heart disease have frequently not included women.
Apples

The juicy apples - compared to many other commonly consumed fruits in the United States & UK, apples have the second highest level of antioxidant activity.
Apples contain a variety of phytochemicals, including quercetin, rutin and catechin, which are all potent antioxidants.
Laboratory research has shown that apples..
-Inhibit cancer cell proliferation
-Decrease lipid (fat) oxidation
-Lower cholesterol
Epidemiological studies (study of incidence and distribution of diseases, and of their control and prevention) have linked apple consumption with reduced risk of some cancers such as lung cancer. As well as...
-Asthma
-Cardiovascular Disease
-Diabetes
For example, a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease has been associated with apple consumption...the Women's Health Study surveyed nearly 40,000 women with a 6.9-year follow-up and found that women ingesting apples had a 13–22% decrease in cardiovascular disease risk.
There is more....apple consumption has been positively associated with general lung health, including increased lung function, as well as increased weight-loss.
Based on these epidemiological studies, it appears that apples may play a large role in reducing the risk of a wide variety of chronic diseases and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in general.
In summary these are the apple and apple juice benefit you can enjoy....
-Contains antioxidants that improve immune function
-Prevents heart disease
-Protects lung function

-Can detoxify the body
Did you know that a combination of apples along with apple skins contain high amounts of antioxidant compounds called phenols?
What are phenols?

Weed and teens

In a study of so-called "contagious" behavior, U.S. researchers have found a link between sleep deprivation and drug use in teen social networks.
Previous studies have shown that behaviors such as happiness, obesity and smoking can spread within adult social networks. This means your behavior can influence your friends, then their friends, and so on.
In this new study, researchers at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and Harvard University mapped the social networks of 8,349 students in grades 7 through 12 and found that the spread of sleep deprivation in teen social networks was associated with the spread of marijuana use. This effect extended up to four degrees of separation (to one's friends' friends' friends' friends).
The researchers also discovered that teens at the center of a social network are at greater risk of poor sleep and therefore more likely to use marijuana, according to the report published online March 19 in the journal PLoS One.
"Our behaviors are connected to each other and we need to start thinking about how one behavior affects our lives on many levels," research team leader Sara C. Mednick, an assistant professor of psychiatry, said in a UCSD news release.
"Therefore, when parents, schools and law enforcement want to look for ways to influence one outcome, such as drug use, our research suggests that targeting another behavior, like sleep, may have a positive influence. They should be promoting healthy sleep habits that eliminate behaviors which interfere with sleep: take the TV out of the child's bedroom, limit computer and phone usage to daytime and early evening hours, and promote napping."
